Swindon road cordoned off as man seriously injured in hit-and-run
A Swindon road has been cordoned off as a crime scene tonight after a hit-and-run. It’s understood a male casualty has suffered serious injuries during the crash, which happened on Southernwood Drive at around 9pm. Two occupant/s of the vehicle, a small blue car, involved in the collision with the male fled the scene on foot, sparking a major police search. The police helicopter was overhead for some time. The road has been closed in both directions as specialists collision investigators and detectives from CID investigate the incident. It’s not expected to reopen for some time.
