CCTV Appeal Launched After Person Stabbed in London Over Dog Poop Dispute

An altercation over a dog’s waste took a violent turn in Central London, resulting in a person being stabbed, according to the City of London Police. Authorities have released a CCTV image of a man they are eager to identify and speak with in connection to this disturbing incident.

The incident unfolded near the junction of Ropemaker Street and Moorgate on Saturday, December 16, when a disagreement erupted between individuals over a dog fouling in the vicinity. The argument escalated, leading to a stabbing.

The victim sustained injuries from the attack, but fortunately, they were not life-threatening. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, with Detective Sergeant David Honan urging the public for assistance.

We would like to speak to anyone who recognizes the man or has any additional information about the knife attack that took place in the City of London in the early hours of Saturday, December 16,” said Detective Sergeant Honan.

He further cautioned against approaching the individual in the CCTV image, advising anyone with information to contact the police at 020 7601 2222. Detective Sergeant Honan reassured residents and those who frequent the City that a thorough investigation is actively underway.
