Van Crash Shuts Down M2 Near Sittingbourne

Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene after a single van crash on the M2 motorway between junctions 5 and 6, close to Sittingbourne. The incident happened on Friday, April 5, 2024.

Emergency Services Swarm the Scene

Three fire engines rolled in quickly, joined by Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb). Fire crews helped the driver get out of the van safely before handing them over to paramedics for precautionary checks.

Traffic Chaos and Investigation Underway

The crash caused temporary traffic delays on the M2. Drivers were urged to proceed with caution and follow directions from emergency staff. Details on the crash cause and the driver’s condition remain under wraps.
