Blaze Breaks Out in Camberley Bungalow – Firefighters Rush to Rescue!
A ferocious fire tore through a bungalow in Camberley this morning, filling Kingston Road with thick, choking smoke. Fire crews raced to stop flames from spreading to three attached homes.
Heroic Firefighters Enter Thick Smoke
Crews from the local fire station, just seconds away from the scene, donned breathing apparatus and plunged inside. Initially, it was feared the homeowner was trapped after two postal workers spotted the blaze and raised the alarm.
With smoke so dense it was nearly impossible to see, firefighters battled the flames while searching for anyone inside.
Backup Teams Join the Fight
Additional crews from Egham arrived, alongside an aerial ladder platform from Guildford, supporting the four-strong team on the ground. Over 20 firefighters fought the blaze as raging flames melted the bungalow’s double-glazed windows.
Fire Starts in Bedroom, Spreads to Roof
Investigations suggest the fire began in a bedroom at the Kingston Road address before quickly climbing to the roof, threatening nearby homes.
Neighbouring stations couldn’t join immediately, tied up with other emergencies, but the combined efforts managed to prevent the fire from spreading further.
