A driver had a lucky escape this morning after his sporty BMW aquaplaned and rolled on the M3. The slick conditions caused the car to lose control, sending it flipping in a dramatic crash just before 10am on Wednesday.
Fire Crews Rush to Scene
Firefighters from Hampshire Fire and Rescue teams in Winchester, Eastleigh, and Redbridge were quickly mobilised. Thankfully, their role was limited to securing the scene as no serious injuries were reported.
Driver Fined and Slapped with Points
The driver was treated at the scene but escaped without major harm. However, a closer look revealed his BMW had two bald tyres, leading officials to issue a fine and penalty points against him. Now, he faces the costly task of replacing his wrecked motor.
