Driver failed to Stop after Hitting Biker in Gosport

A Motorcyclist was smashed off his bike just after 7am this morning (Tuesday 3rd May) on his way to work. He is now in hospital with a suspected broken arm and dislocated shoulder following the fail-to-stop collision in Gosport this morning. At around 7am Police officers and Paramedics were called to reports of a crash on Huhtamaki roundabout on the Rowner Road in Gosport. A motorcycle, registered to a local man, was travelling toward Lee-on-the-Solent when a Red Kia collided with the motorbike. The rider was knocked off and his bike was seriously damaged. The female driver of the Kia stopped to ask if he was ok then got back into her car and drove off without exchanging any details. The rider was taken to the QA hospital in Cosham by Ambulance for treatment of a suspected broken arm and other injuries. The vehicle involved failed to stop and drove off leaving part of the front grill attached to the motorbike, Passing motorists who witnessed the crash stopped and tended to the injured man before paramedics arrived. Police are asking for the driver of the Red Ford Kia to contact them on 101.
