Tragic Death After Crash in Torbay Hospital Car Park
Police are urgently hunting witnesses after an 82-year-old man died following a collision in Torbay Hospital’s car park earlier this month.
Fatal Smash Caught in Busy Hospital Car Park
The crash happened around 2:15pm on Wednesday, 14 May 2025. A 72-year-old woman driving a Hyundai i20 hit the elderly pedestrian.
The victim was rushed to Torbay Hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries six days later on Tuesday, 20 May, while still receiving treatment.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Devon and Cornwall Police’s Roads Policing Unit is leading the investigation. They’re calling on anyone who was at the hospital car park at the time to come forward.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the hospital car park at the time and may have witnessed the incident or captured it on dashcam,” said a police spokesperson.
