Three fire crews, police, and paramedics sprang into action after a white van smashed into the central barrier on the M25 in Kent this afternoon.
The crash happened between junction 2 and junction 3, near the Darenth interchange on the northbound carriageway.
Driver Trapped, Rescue Underway
Emergency teams were called just after 4pm to free the driver, who remains trapped inside the van.
Major Road Closure Causes Chaos
Highways England has shut all lanes approaching the scene. Traffic is currently held back at the Clement Street bridge while crews work in a safe corridor.
The closure is expected to cause delays, with motorists urged to seek alternative routes where possible.
