Massive Crash Shuts Dartford Tunnel
Kent Police, Highways England traffic officers, and South East Coast Ambulance crews have scrambled to the Dartford Crossing following a serious collision.
Two UK-Registered HGVs Involved
The crash, caught on CCTV inside the tunnel, involves two UK-registered heavy goods vehicles. Both drivers are receiving medical treatment, though their injuries remain unknown.
Tunnel Closed, Huge Delays Build
- The tunnel is currently closed.
- A height restriction of 15.8 metres is now in place for larger vehicles.
- Drivers of taller vehicles are being urged to take alternate routes.
- Queues stretching 8 miles and delays of around 55 minutes have been reported.
