Crash Chaos on Fairlee Road: One Hurt, Road Shut
Emergency services scrambled to Fairlee Road in Newport this morning after a smash involving two vehicles just before 11am.
Hampshire Police’s Road Policing Unit quickly shut part of the road as paramedics tended to those injured. One victim has been treated at the scene and rushed to Saint Mary’s Hospital by ambulance.

The closure sparked long queues at the Racecourse Roundabout between Newport and Whippingham. Drivers also faced delays near Mill Lane, where temporary traffic measures are causing further slowdowns.
