Youths Cause Stir on Brentford Crane

Emergency services rushed to Brentford High Street this evening after reports of three youths perched atop a crane at the old Police station site.

Swift Police and Fire Response

The drama unfolded around 6.30pm on Monday, 2nd September 2024. Police officers were quick to secure the area and ensure the safety of those involved. A drone was also deployed to get a closer look, according to a bystander.

The surrounding area was cordoned off as officers worked to bring the situation under control. Fire crews from the London Fire Brigade were called in to assist, worried about potential risks to both the youths and the public.

How Did They Get Up There?

It remains unclear how the youths accessed the crane or what their motives were. Police are investigating the incident and have urged the public to avoid Brentford High Street while emergency teams work.

A police spokesperson said: “We are dealing with the situation and ask everyone to stay clear to allow emergency services to operate safely.”
