A 50 metre safety cordon has been established in Hampshire amid a bomb scare. Residents within the zone have been evacuated as a precaution.

Road Closures and Safety Warnings

  • Westbrook Way, Eric Meadus Close, and Wessex Lane (between Wide Lane and Farmery Close) are all closed.
  • Residents nearby are urged to stay indoors for their own safety.
  • Footpaths surrounding the cordoned area have also been shut down.
  • Swaythling railway station has been notified of the situation.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team is working alongside police to safely deal with the suspicious device. Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area until the operation is complete.
