New Ibiza Stars: Max Jones and Kiimi Smash Radio 1 DJ Search
Rising talents Max Jones and Kiimi have stormed to victory in Radio 1 Dance and BBC Introducing’s nationwide DJ talent search. The prize? A headlining gig at the legendary 528 Ibiza to launch Radio 1’s Dance Weekend on Friday, July 28th. They’ll perform alongside heavyweights like Chase & Status, Becky Hill, MK, and Patrick Topping in what promises to be an epic party.
Max Jones: The Middlesbrough Maestro
At just 24, Max Jones is making serious waves. The Middlesbrough-born DJ and producer mesmerises crowds with electrifying sets that mix underground vibes with classic anthems. Max’s technical skills and diverse sounds have taken him to festivals all over Europe. He even supported famed UK DJ Hannah Wants on her 2022 tour. “I’m overwhelmed and honoured,” Max said. “This opportunity means everything.”
Kiimi Brings a Fresh Twist to Dance Music
London’s Kiimi, a multi-talented producer, vocalist, and classically trained musician, has carved out a unique sound that’s turning heads. Founder of Hunni Sound, an online hub championing women, non-binary, and trans creatives, Kiimi is a true trailblazer. “I still can’t believe I’m going to Ibiza for the first time,” they confessed. “Performing there is a dream come true.”

- Saturday, July 29: ANTS at Ushuaïa Ibiza – Radio 1 Dance X takeover featuring Andrea Oliva B2B Patrick Topping, Solardo, Pete Tong, LF System, Arielle Free, and Dunmore Brothers.
- Sunday, July 30: Ibiza Rocks hosts Radio 1 Dance Anthems X with Charlie Hedges, D.O.D., Alex Mills, George Mensah, Sammy Porter, Jen Getz & Alfie, and Charlotte Van De Peer. Meanwhile, Glitterbox at Hï Ibiza will be lit up by Roger Sanchez, Crazy P Soundsystem, Aline Rocha, and more during Radio 1 Dance X.
