A dramatic search off the West Sussex coast ended tonight after an empty boat was found washed up on Felpham beach.
Major Rescue Operation Launched
The alarm was raised at around 5pm, sparking a huge response. HM Coastguard took charge, sending out teams from 1 and Selsey, the RNLI Selsey lifeboat, and even a Coastguard rescue helicopter.
Skipper Missing and Feared Overboard
Unconfirmed reports now say the vessel’s skipper was spotted in the sea during the search. It’s believed he may have accidentally fallen overboard.
