£3 Million Croydon Mansion Goes Up in Flames

Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters rushed to tackle a blaze at a pricey £3 million property on Spout Hill, Croydon. The detached, three-storey home, which has been on the market for months, suffered significant fire damage to parts of its first and second floors.

Firefighters Battle Blaze for Hours

The fire broke out in the afternoon, with the Brigade called at 4.27pm. Crews battled the flames for nearly three hours before managing to get the fire under control just before 7pm. A small section of the roof was also scorched in the blaze.

Massive Response from Local Fire Stations

Firefighters from Addington, Croydon, Biggin Hill, Purley, and nearby stations sprang into action. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigators are now working to find out what sparked the destructive blaze.
