Firefighters in Gas-Tight Suits Recover Body from Slough Home

Fire crews donned in gas-tight suits were called to a property on Slough’s Britwell estate after a man’s body was discovered yesterday afternoon.

Body Found on Pemberton Road

Police from Thames Valley were alerted shortly after 3pm on Tuesday to the home on Pemberton Road. The grim discovery led firefighters from Slough Fire Station to smash down the door to gain entry.

Hazardous Conditions Spark Use of Protective Suits

Neighbours, who wished to remain anonymous, told us they saw fire crews in yellow suits entering the property. These special gas-tight suits are normally reserved for chemical incident responses, highlighting the risky conditions inside.

It’s believed the man had been inside the house for some time before being found.

Death Under Investigation, Not Treated as Suspicious

Thames Valley Police confirmed the death is currently under investigation but is not being treated as suspicious.

A police spokesman said: “A post-mortem to establish the cause of death and identification processes will be carried out in due course.”
