Blaze Rips Through 17th Floor Flat in Stratford Tower Block

Chaos erupted as a fierce fire gutted a 17th floor flat in Leather Gardens, Stratford, last night. Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters raced to the scene to tackle the inferno.

Hundreds Evacuate Before Firefighters Arrive

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Around 100 residents escaped the building before the Brigade arrived, preventing any casualties.

Rapid Response from Multiple Fire Stations

The fire brigade’s 999 control officers were slammed with 26 emergency calls. They were dispatched at 1:22am, getting the blaze under control by 2:52am.

Engines from Stratford, Plaistow, Leyton, East Ham, Bethnal Green, and nearby stations all joined the firefight.
