Massive Fire Erupts at Arun Leisure Centre in Bognor Regis
Firefighters from across West Sussex scrambled this afternoon as flames broke out at Arun Leisure Centre on Felpham Way, Bognor Regis.
Crews Rush From Four Towns to Tackle Blaze
Engines rolled in from Bognor, Chichester, Littlehampton, and Selsey, with the aerial ladder platform from Worthing also deployed to the scene. Firefighters battled the blaze with relentless determination.
Fire Contained, Damage Assessment Underway
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service confirmed the fire is now contained. Crews are damping down remaining hotspots, and the emergency is being scaled back.
“We thank local residents for their patience and cooperation during this incident,” said West Sussex Fire & Rescue.
Arun Leisure Centre will stay closed while officials assess the extent of the damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
