Blaze Breaks Out in East London Flat
A fire tore through part of a three-room flat on the second floor, causing partial damage. A woman and two children escaped before firefighters arrived.
Smoke Inhalation and Hospitalisation
The woman was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews. The two children were rushed to hospital for further checks.
Firefighters Bring Blaze Under Control
The Brigade was called at 2.57pm and had the fire under control by 4pm. Crews from Bethnal Green, Shadwell, Homerton, Poplar, and Dowgate fire stations battled the flames.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the fire remains unknown and will be investigated.
