Five people were injured, two seriously, in a crash near Leamington Hastings, Rugby, last night. West Midlands Ambulance Service responded to the incident on Southam Road at 11.04pm, deploying multiple ambulances, paramedics, and air ambulance teams.
Impact On Southam Road
On arrival, crews found one car had left the road and struck a tree. Emergency staff immediately provided advanced trauma care at the scene.
Critical Condition Patient
One man was found outside the vehicle in critical condition. Medics swiftly treated him before transporting him to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for urgent care.
Serious Injuries Treated
A second man also sustained serious injuries and was taken to the same hospital. Three additional patients—a man and two teenage girls—were treated for minor injuries and similarly conveyed for medical assessment.
Emergency Response Prompt
The West Midlands Ambulance Service deployed three ambulances, two paramedic officers, and a MERIT trauma doctor alongside critical care paramedics. Assistance included vehicles from the Midlands and national Air Ambulance Services.
