A nasty five-car pile-up brought traffic to a standstill just before 12.10pm on Portsmouth’s Eastern Road. The crash forced police to close the stretch between Hayling Avenue and Tangiers Road, causing major delays for commuters.
Van Crash Sparks Multi-Car Collision
The trouble started when a van heading north on Eastern Road collided with another vehicle. It then smashed into several oncoming cars before tipping onto its side in a dramatic rollover.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Firefighters were quick to attend, giving emergency first aid to those injured. Thankfully, police say no life-threatening injuries have been reported so far.
