Police Hunt Pervert Biking Through Streets Groping Women
Detectives are on the lookout for a brazen cyclist who has been groping lone women while they walk or jog. The suspect’s actions and description remain alarmingly consistent across multiple incidents.
Victims Targeted While Out Alone
The attacker rides up behind unsuspecting women, grabbing their buttocks or touching their genitals before making lewd comments and speeding off on his bike. So far, 22 reports have come in from February to June — but police suspect many more victims have remained silent.
Suspect Description and Police Appeal
- Light-skinned male, possibly mixed race
- Estimated age 16 to 17
- Usually seen in a grey tracksuit
Central East Command Unit Detective Constable Hannah Rodericks said: “We understand this news may cause considerable concern among the community. We share that concern and are doing everything we can to find and prosecute the perpetrator.”
“It is critical that he be identified, but we need the public’s assistance. Anyone with information that they believe can assist us is urged to contact us immediately.”
