Officers are looking into reports that a man forced his way into a house on Ordnance Street around 3.30 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
While inside, he woke up a sleeping woman in a bedroom before threatening her. The victim was able to flee the house and seek assistance.
Following the incident, police arrived at the residence and discovered an open downstairs rear window. Inside the bedroom, they discovered a screwdriver that they believe belonged to the suspect.
Officers are also linking the incident to a report of an attempted burglary on the same street, where a loud noise was heard around 3.10 a.m. before a bathroom window was discovered open.
Officers are also connecting the incidents to a report at 1.30 a.m. of footsteps on a roof extension. When the victim confronted the man, he threatened them before jumping over a nearby garden fence.
Suspect description
The suspect is described as being white with dark hair and dressed in grey jogging bottoms and a dark puffer-style jacket.
