Blaze Rips Through Semi-Detached Home – Five Men Rescued

A fierce fire damaged the ground floor of a semi-detached house this morning, sparking a dramatic rescue mission by firefighters.

Heroic Firefighters Save Men From Roof and First Floor

Fire crews pulled one man to safety from the roof using a ladder. Another was rescued from the first floor via an internal staircase. Three more men escaped before the fire brigade arrived.

All five were treated at the scene, with two rushed to hospital.

London Fire Brigade received 14 calls reporting the blaze. Their 999 Control Officers gave crucial survival guidance to those trapped inside, helping them stay safe before crews arrived.

The fire was called in at 7.07am and brought under control by 8.41am. Firefighters from Woodside, Norbury, Wallington, and West Norwood stations worked together to tackle the blaze.
