Four-Vehicle Smash Closes A249 Near Bobbing
A nasty crash on the Sheerness-bound A249 near Bobbing has snarled traffic after two lorries, a van, and a car collided on the morning of Tuesday, June 7.
Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Pile-Up
Kent Police received reports of the collision at around 8:25am. Emergency crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed to the scene where two people suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Road Closure and Diversion in Place
The carriageway between Key Street and the Bobbing slip road remains shut while officials work to recover the vehicles and clear debris. A diversion is in effect for motorists.
When Will Traffic Return to Normal?
A National Highways spokesperson confirmed the northbound A249 between the A2 and A250 Queenborough would stay closed until around 3pm to allow for cleanup and recovery.
“The closure is expected to clear between 1:15pm and 1:30pm with normal traffic conditions resuming by 2:15pm to 2:30pm,” the spokesman said.
