Manhunt Underway for Prison Escapee Who Vanished Near Grendon Underwood
Thames Valley Police are in hot pursuit of Arthur Salmon, 54, who fled from HMP Springhill after failing to return on the evening of Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Escapee Now Unlawfully at Large
Salmon has no legal right to be free and is officially classed as unlawfully at large. Police have launched an urgent search to bring him back behind bars.

Salmon is known to frequent St Albans and may be driving a grey Seat Ibiza Chill.
Cops Warn Public: Don’t Approach, Call 999
“We are appealing for the help of the public to trace Arthur Salmon, who is unlawfully at large after not returning to HMP Springhill,” said Police Staff Investigator Evelina Kersyte.
“If you see Salmon, do not approach him and call 999 immediately.
