A furious Gosport mum has had enough of reckless parents flouting the law outside St John’s School. Trace Williams launched a solo protest and went online to shame drivers who stop on zigzag lines, risking children’s safety to save a few seconds.
Ignored Zigzag Lines Spark Outrage
“The zigzag lines are there for a reason,” Trace said. “But a lot of parents think it’s fine to stop on them for a minute. They block the view completely by parking illegally and dangerously.” She added, “It makes me really mad. They’re putting their own children—and everyone else’s—in danger.”
Social Media Shaming the Only Deterrent?
Despite the clear risk and legal rules, little action is taken to stop the chaos. Trace believes exposing offenders on social media is the only way to get parents to think twice. She warns, “How many kids have to be hurt before anyone does anything?” Parents need a reminder – saving seconds isn’t worth risking lives.
