A violent brawl beneath the railway bridge on Caversham Road left one man injured – but quick-thinking staffer Tia sprang into action to save the day.
The tussle, believed to involve two homeless men, erupted on Tuesday afternoon just outside Bowl Central Reading, shocking passersby and customers alike.

From inside the bowling alley, Tia spotted the chaos unfolding. Without hesitation, the trained first aider dashed outside and administered crucial first aid, stabilising the injured man until emergency services arrived.
Manager Praises Tia’s Bravery
“She was fantastic,” said the venue’s manager. “Her instincts kicked in – she jumped to the rescue of someone in need. We think it’s admirable she acted when others might have been too afraid.”
