Power Cut Hits Ventnor: Over 70 Postcodes Plunge Into Darkness
A major power outage has struck homes and businesses across Ventnor this evening (Monday), leaving the PO38 area in the dark. Southern and Scottish Electricity Networks (SSEN) have confirmed a high voltage fault affecting 71 postcodes.
Fault Reported, Engineers Rush to Fix
The blackout was reported to SSEN at 7:34pm. Crews are now on their way to pinpoint and repair the fault. SSEN expects to restore power by 9:30pm tonight.
SSEN Issues Apology and Hotline
“We apologise for the loss of supply. Our engineers are on site working to get the power back on as quickly as they can,” SSEN said.
