Island Roads: “Busy Route Demands Regular Upkeep”
“This is such a busy route it is clearly subject to a lot of wear and tear so it is vital we undertake a regular and comprehensive maintenance programme,” said James Adsett, Island Roads powered apparatus supervisor.
“Various teams will work under the single closure to carry out their tasks, and by working overnight and joining up efforts, we hope to keep disruption to an absolute minimum.”
Drivers are advised to plan ahead and expect delays on one of the Isle of Wight’s main arteries this week.
