Chimney Blaze Sparks Early Morning Rush in Newport
Firefighters raced to a property in Newport at just after 7am this morning to tackle a chimney fire. Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue confirmed crews were called to Forest Road where smoke was spotted billowing from the chimney.
Quick Response Keeps Damage Minimal
One fire engine was dispatched to the scene. Crews wearing breathing apparatus swiftly doused the flames using hose reel jets. The blaze was brought under control and fully extinguished by around 7.30am.
No Injuries Reported
Thankfully, there were no casualties reported in the incident. Firefighters praised for their prompt action that prevented the fire from spreading.
