Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve, Kent’s premier wildlife park, is set to light up the dark this winter with its first-ever immersive nighttime light trail. Running from November 2025 through January 2026, visitors can expect a magical after-dark adventure across the sprawling 600-acre reserve in Hythe.

Operated by The Aspinall Foundation, Port Lympne is home to over 900 rare and endangered animals. This brand-new event pairs spectacular light shows with the park’s commitment to wildlife conservation.

Local Boss Excited for Novel Winter Spectacle
“We are delighted to announce our first-ever light trail, bringing a unique and innovative nighttime experience to the park. This brand-new adventure is designed for everyone to enjoy and will be visually stunning, while directly supporting the animals in our care,” said Tony Kelly, Managing Director at Port Lympne.
He added the event will offer locals and tourists something “totally unique and different to experience during the winter months.”

More than just a dazzling display, this light trail is a boost for animal care and habitat preservation. Proceeds from ticket sales will fund The Aspinall Foundation’s vital work rehabilitating and rewilding endangered species, many of which breed and thrive at the reserve.
