HGV Crash Shuts Key M62 Link Road Overnight
Major Junction 35 Routes Closed After Shunt
A heavy goods vehicle slammed into the central reservation, causing chaos on the M62 overnight. National Highways confirmed the smash forced the closure of vital link roads at Junction 35.
The links from the M62 westbound onto the M18 southbound, and the M18 northbound onto the M62 have been shut to give emergency crews safe access.
Emergency Barrier Repairs Underway
National Highways said: “Following an earlier collision involving a HGV that has struck the central reservation, the link roads from the M62 west onto the M18 south and the M18 north onto the M62 at J35 remain closed. Emergency barrier repairs are underway with the road remaining closed overnight.”
