A 78-year-old pensioner found himself in a muddy mess this afternoon on Hayling Island. The elderly driver mistakenly took his vehicle off the slipway and got stuck in thick mud. His efforts to escape only made things worse.
Emergency Crews Race Against Rising Tide
Rescue teams were called out just after 4:30 PM on Friday. They are now battling the incoming tide to free both the pensioner and his vehicle before the situation worsens.
