Major Hunt Underway for Missing Man Near Maidstone Hospital
Full-Scale Search Launched at Dawn
Kent Police have kicked off a major search operation in the early hours of Saturday after a man was reported missing from Maidstone Hospital. Officers, backed by a force helicopter and volunteers from Kent Lowlands Search and Rescue, scrambled to find the high-risk individual.
Helicopter Scours Area Using Thermal Imaging
A national air support helicopter from Redhill joined the mission, sweeping across Maidstone Hospital grounds, nearby Barming, and Mote Park under cover of darkness. The chopper used thermal imaging cameras to track any heat signatures in the hunt.
Volunteers Hit Nearby Woods on Bikes
Meanwhile, trained volunteers combed through a wooded area on mountain bikes, carefully following the missing man’s last known location to cover as much ground as possible.
Kent Police have been contacted for further updates as the search continues.
