Son Charged with Murder of 79-Year-Old Mum in Farncombe Horror
Police have charged Nicholas Anthony Steel, 57, with the murder of his mother, 79-year-old Mary Steel from Wey Court. The tragic incident unfolded on Sunday, 29 October in Farncombe.
Tragic Scene at Wey Court
Officers were called to the Meadrow address at 9.20am after concerns were raised for Mary Steel’s safety. She was found with serious injuries and, despite paramedics’ efforts, was pronounced dead at 10.10am.
Son in Custody and Due in Court
Nicholas Steel was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and admitted to hospital earlier this week. He has since been transferred to police custody and is set to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on 4 November 2017.
