Man in His 40s Dies After Head Injury in Walthamstow

A man in his 40s has died following a head injury in Walthamstow, police have confirmed.

Incident on Summit Road

At 1:07pm on Friday, officers rushed to Summit Road, E17, after reports of a man injured. The London Ambulance Service treated him at the scene before rushing him to hospital. Sadly, despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead.

Death Treated as ‘Unexpected and Unexplained’

The man’s family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers. At this stage, police say the death is being treated as unexpected and unexplained. Detectives are investigating how the man sustained his fatal injuries.

“At this time his death is being treated as unexpected and officers continue to follow all lines of enquiries to understand the circumstances of his injuries,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
