Man Found Dead in Camden Flat After Welfare Call

A man was discovered dead inside a Camden flat on Betterton Street on January 10, shortly after police were called over welfare concerns.

Police Forced Entry and Found Deceased Man

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed officers arrived at the WC2 address at 4:22pm. “Police were called following concerns for the occupant’s welfare. Officers forced entry and found a man deceased,” they said. Police are now working to identify the man and notify his next of kin.

Fire Brigade and Ambulance Attend Over Possible Gas Leak

Emergency services, including the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service, also responded after reports of a potential argon gas leak inside the property.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus ventilated the flat and made the area safe, preventing further danger.
