Man Glassed in Face in Savage attack in Portsmouth Pub

A popular Albert Road pub was forced to close an hour early last night after a violent incident. A man was rushed to hospital after he was glassed by a woman, who it is believed is known to him. Witnesses said that the attack happened just before midnight in the Royal Albert public house. The victim received lacerations to his face and neck and his injuries have been described as ‘serious but not critical’. Friends of the victim confirmed there is recent history between the man and the woman – a former friend – and she has attacked him before. A source with in the venue confirmed the incident last night but this morning a member of staff refused to comment.
