Hit-and-Run Horror in Broad Daylight
Detectives are hunting witnesses after a serious collision left an elderly man fighting for his life in The Vale, Ealing. The smash happened just after 2.30pm on Friday, 23 January, when an e-scooter rider heading west slammed into a man in his 80s.
Victim in Critical Condition
Emergency crews, including the london/" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The pensioner was treated at the roadside before being rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
E-Scooter Rider Flees Scene on Foot
The rider briefly stopped but then ditched the e-scooter and bolted on foot towards Acton — leaving the victim in a desperate state.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detective Sergeant Fiaz Janjua from the Met Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our investigation is ongoing, and we continue to review CCTV footage from the area. We urge anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward. Any information could prove vital to our inquiry.”
