Tragic M25 Crash: Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Collision Near Dartford Crossing
Deadly Smash on M25 Hard Shoulder
Police have confirmed a man died after being hit while standing on the hard shoulder of the M25. The collision involved a lorry and two pedestrians between Junctions 29 and 30, just before 4am on September 8.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Officers from the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service paramedics raced to the scene. Despite their best efforts, one man was pronounced dead at the site. The other injured pedestrian was rushed to hospital, but his condition remains unknown.
Ongoing Investigation as Road Reopens
The motorway was closed temporarily to allow emergency crews to work and for police to investigate. No arrests have been made, and inquiries are ongoing.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a collision between a lorry and pedestrians standing on the hard shoulder of the M25 clockwise between J29 and J30 on Sunday 8 September at 03:56hrs. Despite efforts, one man died at the scene. Road closures were in place for inquiries. No arrests have been made.”
