Man Left Seriously Injured After Mysterious Collision Near Alton
Police are hunting for witnesses after a 54-year-old man was found badly hurt on Yew Tree Lane, Lower Wield, just outside Alton. The victim was discovered lying on the road shortly after midnight, sparking a major investigation.
Life-Changing Injuries from Suspected Vehicle Collision
The man, a local resident, was rushed to North Hampshire Hospital with serious injuries described as life-changing. PC Christopher Pike of the Joint Roads Policing Unit revealed, “At this stage we believe his injuries are consistent with being involved in a collision with a vehicle.”
Police Urge Anyone in Area to Come Forward
Officers are keen to hear from anyone driving or walking along Yew Tree Lane between 11pm and 12:30am last night. PC Pike added, “Any information you may have could really help with our investigation.”
