Man suffers life-changing injuries after smash on M11
A man in his 20s has been rushed to hospital with life-changing injuries following a nasty collision on the M11 this afternoon. Emergency services rushed to the scene just before 1pm on Sunday 9 August after a BMW 5 Series and a Ford Focus crashed between junctions five and six.
M11 shut as crews tackle crash
The motorway was temporarily closed to allow paramedics and police to respond. The Ford Focus driver was seriously hurt and taken to hospital, while the BMW driver and two passengers escaped with minor injuries. The road has since been reopened.
Police hunt witnesses and dashcam footage
Officers are urgently appealing for anyone who saw the collision or events leading up to it. They’re especially eager to hear from motorists with dashcam footage that could help with their investigation.
