A Metropolitan Police officer has been sacked after admitting to hiring sex workers and dealing Class A drugs while on foreign trips. Detective Constable Pervaz Malik, from the Central West Command Unit, was caught out in a stunning misconduct panel that exposed his filthy secret life.

Cop’s Wild Foreign Escapades Exposed

From 2016 right up until August 2023, DC Malik didn’t just hire sex workers for himself—he organised them for others too. On top of that, he bought, used, and even helped supply Class A drugs while overseas. And his dodgy dealings weren’t confined to abroad; in February 2024, he deliberately withheld the correct access code to his phone during a criminal investigation.

Crackdown After Corruption Probe

The Met’s Anti-Corruption Command and the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) led the investigation. Malik was arrested at Stansted Airport in August 2023 on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs. Although the Crown Prosecution Service later dropped the case, no further action was taken.

Despite the dropped charges, Malik’s misconduct panel didn’t hold back. He was suspended immediately after arrest and then swiftly fired without notice after the hearing.

Met Boss Hits Out at “Serious Breach of Public Trust”

“Police play a vital role in protecting individuals who are at heightened risk of violence and exploitation, and any deviation from that duty represents a serious breach of public trust,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Chrissy Jessah.

“DC Malik would have been fully aware that he was acting in clear violation of his obligations to safeguard the public, as well as the strict rules governing drug use. His conduct was wholly unacceptable and fell significantly short of the standards expected by the organisation and the public.”

Malik is now blacklisted on the College of Policing’s Barred List, banning him from any future roles in policing, related bodies, or oversight organisations. The Met has made it crystal clear: crooked cops won’t be tolerated.
