Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command are urgently asking the public for help to ID a man spotted on CCTV just after an alleged terror-related incident outside Downing Street.
CCTV Footage Shows Man at Charing Cross
Police released images today showing the suspect walking through Charing Cross Railway Station on the evening of October 31, 2023. Commander Dominic Murphy, who heads the Counter Terrorism Command, said: “Take a good look at these pictures. Is this someone you recognise? If you have any information that could help us identify him, please get in touch. If you’re the man in the pictures, please contact us – we would like to speak with you.”

- Middle Eastern appearance
- Mid-20s to early 30s
- Dark beard and moustache
- Short hair, shaved closely at back and sides
- Wearing dark top and bottoms, black shoes
- Black and white shemagh scarf
Investigation Tied to Hamas Chants Outside Downing Street
The hunt began after footage appeared on social media showing the man allegedly chanting support for Hamas, a banned organisation, near Downing Street on October 31.
