Meads Street Post Office Set to Reopen on December 7!
Great news for Eastbourne locals! Caroline Ansell MP has confirmed that the Meads Street Post Office will reopen at 1pm on December 7. The revamped branch will be inside the “Welcome Store,” taking over the spot once held by the Co-Op, and will offer the full range of Post Office services.
Community Effort Brings Post Office Back
Ansell praised the teamwork behind the comeback. She singled out Meads councillors Jane Lamb and Robert Smart, plus the Meads Community Association for their vital roles. The MP also gave a shout-out to Rev Giles Carpenter, who kindly hosted a temporary Post Office service at St John the Evangelical Church on St John’s Road until August.
This is a win for the community and residents can look forward to easier access to essential postal services once again.
