Emergency crews are battling a serious multi-vehicle pile-up on the westbound M27 near Fareham this Saturday evening. The crash, involving several cars and four motorcycles, struck just before 5pm between junctions 11 and 10.

Lanes two and three on the westbound side remain closed while paramedics treat the injured and police investigate the cause. Traffic is gridlocked on all other lanes with tailbacks stretching as far as Junction 12.

By 8pm, all lanes were reopened following the clearance of debris and vehicles. However, heavy delays continue with stop-start queues reaching back to Junction 12. Drivers are urged to approach the area with caution.

Travel Tip: Expect at least 30 minutes of extra travel time in the area until traffic flows normally again.
