Murder probe launched after body of woman found in Deptford
A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a woman was found in Deptford. Police were called to a flat in McMillan Street, SE8, shortly after 10:00hrs on Monday, 21 October, following concern for the welfare of an occupant. Officers attended. The body of Zoe Orton, aged 46, was found at the address. Next of kin have been informed. A post mortem examination took place on Tuesday, 22 October. The cause of death given as neck compression. Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime are leading the investigation. There have been no arrests.
