Murder probe launched in Corhampton

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man’s body was found in Corhampton yesterday (Saturday 13 July). The body of 41-year-old Gurinderjit Rai (known as G) from Eastleigh was found in a car in a layby in Shepherds Farm Lane at 9.58am. He died from shotgun wounds in what we believe was a targeted incident. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers and request that their privacy is respected at this time.
