Portsmouth City Council has revealed a batch of spanking new council homes, part of a huge four-year drive to boost affordable housing. Among them, Hornbeam House on Ivy Close in the city centre stands proud as one of nine fresh council housing schemes across Portsmouth.

The Ivy Close development alone is set to deliver nine houses and 51 flats for council tenants. The homes vary from cosy one-bedroom flats to spacious four-bedroom houses, catering to all needs. The £8.1million project is managed by local family firm PMC Construction, known for championing cutting-edge, eco-friendly building techniques in the affordable housing sector.
